Day 33: Munich, Germany

The weather was great today.. cold, but clear blue skies. It made it much more enjoyable to walk around town.

I had a great mozzarella and tomato omelette at a quiet cafe to start the day, took a free walking tour around Munich (which stopped for lunch at a farmers market for 5 euro sausage and beer), and had dinner at the Augstiner brewery/beer-hall.

The beer-hall was an experience; packed full of loud Germans, I was lucky to get a seat. I ended up at a table reserved for the staff of the brewery (as distinguished by the sign hanging above the table) and they greeted me with some loud German enthusiasm. Luckily a woman at the table spoke some English and helped me order a traditional Bavarian pork and potato dish with some fresh brew. Good stuff. The rest of my night was pretty wild; laundry, reading, and trip planning.
